The L-Train Memorial Foundation Corporation is committed to assisting youth seeking to achieve a post-secondary education by providing educational guidance, mentoring and financial support for those in need.
The fund was established in the memory of Lorne William Bennett who was an advocate, mentor, coach, and father figure to the children in the community which he resided. Created by his daughter, Trevena Bennett, the fund not only honors his legacy but will also enable Lorne’s vision for others to thrive academically and athletically to remain alive.
Mr. Bennett was instrumental in the development and establishment of the AAU Union Panthers Basketball League. Mr. Bennett served as Director and coach for the Union Rams Football Club as well as a coach and active supporter of the Boys and Girls Club.
