The L-Train Memorial Fund provides scholarships and other needs for college-bound children throughout New Jersey.  This fund was established in memory of Lorne William Bennett who was an advocate, mentor, coach, and father figure to the children in the community which he resided.  

 

Listed below are the qualifications needed to apply:

 

1. The applicant must be a resident of New Jersey and have participated in at least two full sports seasons within four years.

2. The applicant must be a senior student athlete and have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA (an official transcript must be attached).

3. The applicant must provide two references: one from Guidance Counselor and other from a Coach or Mentor.

4. The applicant must attend college or technical school the semester following his or her high school graduation.

5. The applicant must provide a type essay defining their educational interests and future aspirations (500 to 1,000 words).
